This program is designed to work in conjunction with the welfare programs of educational institutions. As the student is paramount to our core values, we will ensure delivery of a comprehensive service to make international students' well being our ultimate aim.
Rationale Capabilities Services Application Methods Research indicates that parents of international students pursuing education abroad have few safeguards in place with regard to monitoring activities of their children outside the educational environment. International students face and might be affected by such serious problems as alcohol abuse, smoking addiction, gambling, bad companionship, poor finance management, dangerous socializing, etc. They might also suffer serious personal and emotional problems. In order to safeguard students to achieve their academic potential and enjoy the experience of living in a safe, secure and healthy environment, this program is in place to prevent or solve such problems which could affect international students. - assist the student to grasp the fundamentals of living abroad such as local customs, safety, banking, health, shopping, entertainment, etc.
- provides discreet and regular checks of students during their schooling
- regularly visit student’s home environment
- recognize students' behavioral changes due to such problems as drug abuse, gambling and financial difficulties
- monitor students' socializing as required by parents
- write student report and provide it to parents
- provide emergency call-out service
- offer first aid service
- provide referral and assistance service for personal problems
- advise on domestic matters such as driver’s licenses, purchasing of vehicles
- conduct drug testing of students at request of parents (conditions apply)
- help acquiring medical and financial assistance
- handle emergencies
